Norberto Vargas, M.D., FAA PMR

Dr. Vargas, M.D. is a diplomat of the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation as well as The American Board of Addiction Medicine. Furthermore he is a Medical review officer for U.S. the department of transportation.
Dr. Vargas M.D. graduated from the Ponce School of Medicine, Puerto Rico. At Baylor University Medical Center of Dallas, he trained in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Vargas is the clinic’s Addiction specialist and a Physical Medicine Rehab physician at Paragon Pain and Rehab. Dr. Vargas M.D. graduated from the Ponce School of Medicine, Puerto Rico. At Baylor University Medical Center of Dallas, he trained in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Vargas is the clinic’s Addiction specialist and a Physical Medicine Rehab physician at Paragon Pain and Rehab.
The methodology Dr. Vargas uses provides a comprehensive approach in the treatment of all of his patients. He performs electro-diagnostic testing, fluoroscopic-guided lumbar spinal injections to treats both acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries, and chronic pain management. He has successfully introduced the use of ultrasound-guided musculoskeletal injections to the practice, thus improving procedure outcomes while avoiding exposure risks of radiation. He also has trained in the field of Prolo Therapy for the treatment of pain generated by ligament and tendon laxity. John Paul Benavides, D.O., M.S., M.P.H., FAA PMR

Dr. Benavides is a diplomat of the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation as well as The American Board of Sports Medicine, and The American Board of Pain Medicine.

Dr. Benavides D.O. attended the University of North Texas Science Center as well as the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine and graduated in 2001.  Dr. Benavides completed his residency at Southwestern Medical Center in 2005.
The methodology Dr. Benavides  uses provides a comprehensive approach in the treatment of all of his patients. He performs electro-diagnostic testing, fluoroscopic-guided lumbar, thoracic, and cervical spinal injections to treats both acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries, and chronic pain management. He has successfully introduced the use of ultrasound-guided musculoskeletal injections to the practice, thus improving procedure outcomes while avoiding exposure risks of radiation. He also has trained in PRP (Plasma Rich Platlet), performs Kphoplasty, and Spinal Cord Stim placements.
Dr. Benavides’ areas of interest and expertise include interventional spine procedures, Sports Medicine, Pain Management. Dr. Benavides is certified to treat opioid dependence with the use of Suboxone.  Dr. Benavides also is a RockDoc provider and treats performers in town at the local venues.

Melanie Albert, APRN, FNP, NP-C

Melanie V. Albert is a Family Nurse Practitioner who was born and raised in Davao City, Philippines. She graduated from the School of Nursing at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas where she earned her Master’s Degree in Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner Degree in 2005. She has extensive work experience in the fields of Cardiology, PM&R,  and Chronic Pain Management.
